The International Interior Design Association, ÇéÉ«ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Chapter held its annual in March at the Royale in Boston where top design firms were recognized for their creativity.
As part of this competition, the Design Awards student event offered college and university students throughout ÇéÉ«ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ the opportunity to showcase their interior design projects from all aspects of the Design, Real Estate, Construction and Engineering Industries.
The jury selected five student winners and finalists from schools throughout ÇéÉ«ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ which were announced at the March event. Two of the five finalists are enrolled in ÇéÉ«ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Institute of Technology’s (NEIT) Interior Design Bachelor of Science degree program. Congratulations to Amira Mohamed and Gillian Eminger for placing in the top five overall with Amira earning the 2nd place spot.
Amira’s project, NeWave, and Gillian’s submission, The Moonlight Tower Hotel, were completed as part of their ID Studio V Hospitality class taught by Dawn L. Edmondson, MFA, IA Associate Professor, Department of Design + Architectural Building Technology & Humanities and Social Sciences.
Thanks to Amira and Gillian for representing NEIT’s Interior Design program so well and to the Interior Design faculty for assisting these students in showcasing their talent and creativity at this most prestigious competition.
